Theodore Herzl Mission — Jerusalem 3000 Mission Highlights

It all started when noted business leader, entertainment entrepeneur and philathropist Merv Adelson casually mentioned to the Jerusalem Fund's Rabbi Irwin Katsof that something should be done to help Israel with its historic Jerusalem 3000 celebration.

The trip was hosted by the Jerusalem Fund of Aish HaTorah. The group's week in Jerusalem was jam packed with get togethers with Israel's top leaders and opinion makers, along with a trip to meet King Hussein of Jordan. On Thursday night, the Jerusalem 3000 Awards were presented by Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres and Jerusalem Mayor Ehud Olmert in the Chagall Hall of the Knesset. The memorable trip ended with a farewell party held at the Israel Museum which opened exclusively for the Solidarity Group.
